Why it works

The benefits of a garden studios for creative work

  • Leave the project out

No more clearing the dining table. Your work stays exactly where you left it.

  • Light to work by

Choose a design with generous glazing, and position it to make the most of daylight.

  • Room to think

A short walk across the garden is often all it takes to change your frame of mind.

  • Mess has a home

Paint, sawdust, fabric and clay stay out of the house.

Practical considerations

Things to think about

A few points we'll talk through with you. Every garden is different, so the details of your project are agreed in your quotation.

  • Light and position

Many artists prefer steady, indirect light. Think about which way the glazing will face, and we'll help you choose the position.

  • Sound

Our buildings aren't sold as soundproofed. If you'll play or record music, tell us early so we can talk about what's realistic for your project.

  • Hard-wearing surfaces

Commercial vinyl flooring is an optional upgrade that's practical for messy work and easy to clean.

  • Water and storage

Plumbing isn't part of our installation packages. A partition wall (an optional upgrade) can create a separate store for materials.
